#1 - Action

[Anyone who is around Uptown today will notice Arcueid peeking at the window inside of the restaurant L'Déplaisant. The way it looks appears to be captivating her as her eyes are wide, resembling that of a childs. You'll also hear a few 'oo' and 'ahh' noises from her.]

#2 - Action

[If you're by Downtown, Arcueid just entered Olney's Tavern and is staring around the area. Of course, sharp glares are abundant. Will you stop her before she ends up getting in serious trouble or just watch that happen?]

#3 - Action

[It's in the evening now, and Arcueid has decided on one final stop; The Drive-In Theater. She's just standing there, watching the giant screen with wide eyes, though she managed to get in without paying. Maybe you can enjoy the movie with her, or throw her out if that's what you're after.]

#4 - Voice / Action to 723 Anderson Lane

[Arcueid finally seems to have a handle on the phone and is chatting away about the day with a wide smile on her face and childish glee tinting her words.]

You know, I found out I didn't really need Shiki after all. Mayfield is a pretty interesting place, unlike anywhere I've ever seen before. I saw a few people dressed up behind a weird glass, and they seemed to be enjoying themselves but I have no idea what they were doing. Also, some of the places here seem really hostile. I kept wondering the entire time what everyone was so mad about. Oh, and I saw some big rectangle showing off people biting into womens' necks and draining their blood. It was all pretty dramatic and really funny because of how inaccurate it was. Oh! And I finally figured out how to use this thing!

Tastes funny, huh?

[Varric seems to think about that for a moment. He'd gotten a pretty good handle on martinis...so either he messed it up again...or...]

Is that your first alcoholic beverage?

Date: 2011-04-23 12:32 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] tsukihimay.livejournal.com
It's the first time I've ever tried anything like this.

[After a few more sips she sets it down. Blegh.]

Date: 2011-04-23 04:56 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] chest-forest.livejournal.com
Ah, well, that one's on the house then.

Here, let's try another one I just learned. It shouldn't taste so much like alcohol...in fact I'll bet you'll barely be able to taste it.

[Varric fixes up a rather fruity little drink, placing it in front of Arcueid.]

Try that one, I'm sure it'll taste a lot better. [It almost seems as if Varric's determined to get the young lady to drink, seeing as she doesn't seem to be a drone. Drunk tongues are a bit more loose, after all.]

Date: 2011-04-23 05:01 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] tsukihimay.livejournal.com
[That's all the convincing she needed to sip (again, read: gulp) the drink. Of course with this human body of hers, she's starting to feel a little dizzy.]

T-This one tastes really good...!

Date: 2011-04-23 05:03 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] chest-forest.livejournal.com
Haha, excellent! I must have quite the eye for this.

[Varric begins working on another, but decides to start talking as he works.]

So, you don't seem like the rest of the people I deal with in here...how long have you been in this town?

[He sets another drink down in front of Arcueid, hoping the flow of booze will help the woman with giving him some information.]

Date: 2011-04-23 05:35 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] tsukihimay.livejournal.com
[Oh she'd give it anyways, but that doesn't stop her from trying to finish the drink as quick as possible to get to the other one, causing her to have to stop herself for a second. Drunk Arcueid... oh boy.]

O-Only a while... [A hiccup.] B-But I've seen a few places and met up with Shiki again... I was relieved to see him here, I d-didn't think I'd see anyone else.

Date: 2011-04-23 06:28 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] chest-forest.livejournal.com
Oh, is that so? Sound like this Shiki is someone important to you.

[Varric gets to work on starting yet another drink, a different one this time, however just as tasty.]

So then, what exactly do you know about this city? Anything that isn't in that...oh shit what did they call it...pamphlet? See, I'm a storyteller...and I want to know everything I could possibly find out.

Date: 2011-04-23 11:16 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] tsukihimay.livejournal.com
Yeah... he's r-really important... he's helped me a lot too... and though he can be r-really stupid at times (read: all the time) he can also be really smart...

[Yeah, she's going to normal sips this time instead of full out gulps. Her cheeks are flushed by now too.]

I know there's... a lot of stuff I don't know and want to f-find out... [Another hiccup.] But what... pamphlet? What do you mean?

Date: 2011-04-24 07:44 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] chest-forest.livejournal.com
Ah, I see. [Damn, she doesn't know much either. Oh well, might as well make a decent contact out of her...and at least provide the alcohol that will aid in relieving any troubles she may have. The beauty of the drink.]

Oh, that "pamphlet" was a paper with a whole lot of information about this place. I...ah, I can't remember who or where I got it from. I suppose the Library? Which, this town has a pretty odd Library, to say the least.

You'd think this was a Dwarven society, with the complete absence of books of magic in a Library like that. Might as well be living underground, if you ask me.

Date: 2011-04-26 12:10 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] tsukihimay.livejournal.com
P-People live underground? [Hiccc.]

Date: 2011-04-26 02:14 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] chest-forest.livejournal.com
Oh, they do indeed. Sprawling Dwarven cities under the ground.

Well...I guess Orzammar was really the last one left. Still pretty impressive though...but being underground really gets boring quick.

[Varric can already see that Arcueid is quite the lightweight, and he decides to stop the drinks from coming for now...instead taking a drink of one himself.]

So what's your world like?

Date: 2011-04-26 02:49 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] tsukihimay.livejournal.com
Fuzzy... r-really fuzzy...

[No Arc', that's just your head and your first time experiencing a human body drunk.]

Date: 2011-04-26 03:58 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] chest-forest.livejournal.com
Oh, fantastic. You really are a lightweight, aren't you?

Just go with it, let the comfort of a distorted perception take you where it will...that's the beauty of alcohol.

Date: 2011-04-27 04:10 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] tsukihimay.livejournal.com
T-There's a beauty in feeling sick...?

Date: 2011-04-27 08:52 pm (UTC)From: [identity profile] chest-forest.livejournal.com
Well, it's not really feeling sick per-say...think of it more, as an altered state of mind. A state of mind that makes you feel more bold, more able to do the things that typically make you nervous.

Perhaps bold enough to tell that man or woman in your life how you really feel about them...perhaps bold enough to conquer your worst fears...or maybe even bold enough to tell the best stories anyone's ever heard.

I like to do the latter. [Varric then rather easily slams down a tumbler of alcohol.]

Date: 2011-04-28 02:04 am (UTC)From: [identity profile] tsukihimay.livejournal.com
[Screw admitting to Shiki what he already knows, let's pick what's behind door number three.]

Stories? T-Tell me some...! [Hiccurp.]
Oh, now you've hit this Dwarf's soft spot. A lovely lady asking me for a story.

Though, I'm not sure if the stories I've drug here from my own place, world or whatever you want to call it would be sufficient. So, what kinds of stories do you enjoy the most? I'm sure I have one for every occasion. [Varric gives Arc a sly and confident grin just before downing a tumbler of his own alcoholic concoction.]

Of course, I have to be sufficiently drunk for the best ones.
