Personality: Arcueid Brunestud can be described, very easily, as a five year old. Very carefree, very ‘wild’ and generally a bit weird at times, Arcueid always tries to take the fun route in life and doesn’t seem to care about the consequences that may come out of it. This can be credited to the fact that Arcueid has not seen much of human life due to the extended periods of sleep that she has gone through and that her curiosity is something of a young childs instead of a young woman like she is. While this can get on some peoples’ nerves, Arcueid doesn’t seem to care and just brushes off people who get mad at her for it. (Ciel
:|) While outwardlyfun-loving, Arcueid has simply adopted this personality as a mask. In reality, Arcueid is very fearful of getting close to anyone and being around humans due to the fact that her bloodlust made her go crazy and kill all other True Ancestors.
Despite being an aristocratic vampire, Arcueid doesn’t seem to act like you’d expect one to, being a lot kinder and forgiving. Hell, she forgave Shiki for slicing her into seventeen pieces. Deep down, Arcueid feels like she deserves to be alone which is why she chained herself up in Millennium Castle Brunestud for the longest time. The only person who appears to hold the ability to bring her out of this shell is one Tohno Shiki. While the first meeting was a bit rough, Arcueid has become a good friend of Shikis and he is the only one she trusts with everything about her. At the same time, due to how close they have gotten, Arcueid has developed feelings for him and can be seen to be a tiny bit jealous at times whenever he is with another woman. (Evidenced by how she wanted him to choose her over Ciel)
Arcueid can also be shown as a tease, showing how she made out with Shiki in front of Ciel during her Good Ending despite the fact that Ciel (his girlfriend at the time) was right there. Arcueid can also appear to say the most outlandish or grim things with a smile or a cheerful expression. One final thing to note is that Arcueid’s bloodlust can cause her to go into a state of psychotic sadism that has her want nothing but the blood of everyone around her. Arcueid internally fears this though appears to be able to control it whenever it arises. There is a hidden part of Arcueid’s personality, which is known as Phantasmoon. This part of her personality just goes around acting like a magical girl stereotype with a tendency to be lazy at random intervals.
Due to it not being too closely examined, we can’t explain much when it comes to that side of her. One final personality trait to note about Arcueid is that, despite being comical, she will bend to anyone’s will when they are willing to feed her. This may only be with Shiki, though when Shiki threatened Arcueid that he would never cook for her again she obeyed him obediently. Arcueid also has no qualms in obeying Shiki when he tells her to do something… as long as it follows social “norms.” In any other situation, Arcueid refuses to listen and will go off and do her own thing no matter what.

Justification: The Moon Arcana symbolizes imagination, entertainment, dreams, and the unconscious mind. Arcueid can be a very imaginative person, never having experienced many of the things in everyday life and always imagining about what they're like instead of actually experiencing them. She is always seeking entertainment, and dreams about what could be. She always seems to wonder about these kind of mundane things most people wouldn't waste their time with, which can pretty much sum up all of Arcueid's interests by itself.
On the down side, it symbolizes illusions, deception, insincerity, escapism, a need for help, and secrecy. Arcueid's betrayal of the True Ancestors could be considered a deception albeit unintentional, and it seems that Arcueid tries her hardest to 'escape' from her bloodlust and essentially what she is. Deep down Arcueid has a need for help, a need for someone to come into her life and save her from the darkness that surrounds her. The secrecy factor comes from how very few know she was made to be a weapon and a vessel and nothing more. Arcueid keeps secrets from people, mainly things dealing with her own life in the hopes that they won't see her as a monster and no longer want to associate with her.

[This energetic yell of a greeting had a bubbly tone behind it, as did the following bit of rambling.]
I don't know how I got here, but it's really weird. I don't really feel like myself, it feels kinda' different. Well, anyways if you can hear me Shiki I'd really like you to come find me. I'm not sure where exactly I am though. I see a few buildings, maybe a bench or two so maybe I'm by a park or something? Well! I guess I'll just wait here until you find me. Or until anyone that hears this can find me. Well, I guess that's all! I have a ton of questions to ask whenever one of you guys hears this so if anyone's willing to help or just wants to have a chat, please call me!
Third Person Sample: Arcueid knew this wasn't Misaki anymore. The city looked a bit less Japanese and a bit more of an oddity than any city Arcueid had been in before. Not only that, but there was an odd feeling in the pit of Arcueid's stomach. It seemed that the bloodlust she was trying to keep away for the longest time was gone. Wanting information on this location, Arcueid brought herself to one of the citizens of Prospero and stared them in the eyes.
Yet, all they did was wave happily and walk away.
This confirmed to Arcueid that her Mystic Eyes of Enchantment were no longer functioning. Instead of panicking, a wide grin curled onto her lips. This was the start of a new adventure for her. Sure, she wasn't in Misaki anymore but that Wallachia guy had already been taken care of by Shiki so there was no real reason for her to be there anyways. By the look of her surroundings alone, Arcueid already began to giggle to herself happily. There were so many things to experience, so many new places in this odd world that she could go! Before she took another step forward, Arcueid blinked and stared her red eyes downward.
It was a cell phone. She had only ever read about them before and maybe saw a person or two using them to communicate back in Misaki. Picking it up and looking it around, Arcueid already knew a good ton of information about the device. Flicking it open and talking into it without punching a single number, another giggle came from her. Reading about something and actually experiencing it were two separate things. As she began to speak into the device, her tone changed instantly from extremely energetic to mildly bubbly. No matter what, one thing was definitely certain in this situation.
Prospero would never be the same again.
